Two New Contemporary Dwellings in Kilmersdon Win 'Best Small Social Housing Development' at LABC Awards.
We were pleased to learn that our recent project in the village of Kilmersdon, Somerset, has been awarded Best Small Social Housing Development in the Southwest region at the Local Authority Building Control (LABC) Awards. The development, which consists of two contemporary dwellings on an infill site, has been celebrated for its contemporary design, build quality, and commitment to providing affordable housing solutions in the local community.
The two new homes, crafted with both sustainability and modern living in mind, have successfully blended contemporary architecture with the traditional character of the village. Designed to fit seamlessly into the existing environment, the homes offer high-quality living spaces that meet the evolving needs of residents, while respecting the village’s heritage.
The LABC award recognizes excellence in the delivery of social housing projects that demonstrate both architectural innovation and a commitment to sustainability. These new homes feature energy-efficient technologies, thoughtfully planned interiors, and sustainable materials to ensure a lasting, positive impact on both residents and the environment.
White Horse Housing Association is thrilled to receive this prestigious recognition, reflecting their ongoing dedication to providing high-quality, affordable housing across the region. The Kilmersdon project stands as a testament to the Association’s vision of creating homes that are not only functional and affordable but also beautiful and environmentally responsible.
