PROJECT: Equestrian Development

TYPE: Equestrian workers dwellings and horse isolation stable

LOCATION: Wiltshire

SERVICE: RIBA work stages 0-3

STATUS: Planning

On an existing farm complex, this new-build equestrian project consists of purpose-designed grooms accommodation and a horse isolation stable that provides a separate facility for the arrival of new horses to the farm to prevent the spread of disease.

The design embraces traditional forms to enhance its setting in the rural landscape, and features a combination of vertical timber cladding, brick plinths and slate roofs.

Developed in close collaboration with the client to ensure both aesthetic appeal and practical efficiency, the design carefully balances the living accommodation and stable functions. The result is a harmonious blend of form and function, offering comfortable living quarters for the horse grooms and their families, while ensuring optimal conditions for horse care.
