PROJECT: Fivelanes

TYPE: Residential

LOCATION: Wiltshire

SERVICE: RIBA work stages 0-3

STATUS: Planning

This proposal for a detached dwelling on a Wiltshire smallholding features a simple design influenced by agricultural vernacular. Covered loggias offer sheltered outdoor living spaces, while a curved roof detail adds subtle interest both inside and outside.

The use of clay brick for the plinth and timber cladding complements the rural setting, and the profiled metal roofing ensures a modern yet practical finish.

The design respects its surroundings with a balanced, understated approach that blends traditional materials with contemporary forms.
