PROJECT: Woodland Passivhaus
TYPE: Residential
LOCATION: Wiltshire
SERVICE: RIBA work stages 0-4
STATUS: Building Regulations
This Passivhaus dwelling is located on a secluded rural site and achieved planning permission under NPPF paragraph 84 (formerly paragraph 80) in 2024. Approvals under this paragraph are rare, and the design must be demonstrated to be truly outstanding, reflecting the highest standards in architecture. We worked closely with a Planning Consultant, Landscape Architect, and Ecologist to ensure careful consideration was given to the immediate setting and the defining characteristics of the area.
The highly crafted design draws inspiration from the local agricultural vernacular, while ensuring the building remains unmistakably a home with exceptional comfort and energy efficiency.
Construction is set to begin in 2025.
